Your Opwekking volumes on your phone

Can you use volumes you already bought?

Yes. Revigo is an empty songbook that you fill. One of the ways to fill it is your own Opwekking account. You sign in to Opwekking inside the app, and Revigo fetches the volumes held on that account. You buy nothing twice and you retype nothing.

What you fetch then lives on your device. After that one fetch you need no connection to open a song. Not on Sunday morning, and not in a hall with no wifi.

How fetching works

Four steps, once per device:

• Open Revigo and go to Settings → Songbooks → Opwekking.
• Tap Sign in to Opwekking and use the account you bought the volumes with.
• Revigo fetches the songbooks you own. If none appear, that account holds no purchases.
• Wait until they are saved. After that they work offline. Bought more later? Tap Refresh purchases.

What does not come across

Only what you bought. Revigo does not sell songs and ships none, so anything not on your Opwekking account does not appear in the app either. We cannot change that, and it is deliberate. The rights to those songs sit with the publisher.

The same goes for chords. Whether you have them for a volume depends on what you bought from Opwekking, not on Revigo. If you find something missing, that is a question for Opwekking rather than for us.

Revigo is not an Opwekking product

To head off the confusion: Revigo is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Stichting Opwekking. We build the app, they publish the songs. The name appears here only to say which repertoire the app can be used with.

That has one practical consequence. Your Opwekking account stays yours and your purchases stay there. Cancel Revigo or delete the app and you do not lose your volumes. They are attached to your Opwekking account and not to us.

Transposing without doing the arithmetic

A volume is published in one key, and it does not always suit your singers or your band. In Revigo you shift a song one at a time and every chord moves with it.

What helps most is that the sounding key stays visible, capo included. A guitarist with a capo on the second fret playing E shapes is sounding in F♯. The keyboard player next to them needs to know it is F♯. Revigo shows both, so nobody is calculating as the service starts. You can also have the chords displayed for keys rather than for guitar.

And if you have no volumes?

Then the app has not stayed empty. You can type songs in yourself, look up and import chords from online, or add sheet music as a PDF. For your own compositions and for anything in no songbook at all, that is the normal route.

Alongside Opwekking, people use Revigo for Sela, psalms, hymns and their own material. The app has no preference. It is your songbook. More about what is in it is on the features page.
